If you've experienced sexual violence (e.g., sexual assault, dating/domestic violence, stalking), sexual harassment, sex discrimination, or other prohibited Title IX conduct, confidential and non confidential support and guidance is available to you. Whether you chose to FILE A REPORT or not, our office is available to assist you navigate your options.

REPORT AN INCIDENT

Title IX provides information and consultation about campus policies and procedures regarding sexual harassment to any interested person. Consultations are also available for faculty, supervisors, administrators, and others who need information about their responsibilities to address sexual misconduct and discrimination of which they become aware.

To file a criminal complaint or request a protective order, call UCPD immediately.

Timeline to Report

There is NO timeline to report incidents. You may report an incident even if significant time has passed. However, Title IX is an administrative process, and only holds jurisdiction over an affiliated Respondent*. 

*Where the Respondent is not affiliated, Title IX may investigate the matter through an 'Other Inquiry'. 

Responsible Employees

Under the UC Policy on Sexual Violence and Sexual Harassment Reportingemployees are mandated to report sexual harassment and sexual violence to the Title IX Office.  An Individual's request regarding the confidentiality of reports of sexual harassment or sexual violence will be considered by the Title IX Director in determining an appropriate response. Retaliation

The SVSH Policy prohibits retaliation against any person based on their report or other disclosure or conduct prohibited by SVSH Policy, or their participation in the investigation, reporting, remedial, or disciplinary processes provided for in the SVSH Policy. Retaliation includes adverse actions such as threats, intimidation, harassment, and coercion. The prohibition protects all participants in the investigation process. Retaliation will be treated as a separate violation under the SVSH Policy, and any student or employee who engages in retaliation may be subject to discipline.
